True retro style decorating actually encompasses several decades of styles and the term itself is used to describe almost any interior decorating themes that are influenced by trends and styles from the past. While this definition means that just about any era could be considered "retro," the term is more commonly used to describe decor from the s, 60s, and 70s. If you go back farther, you're heading toward more on vintage style, although the two styles can and do frequently cross over.

However, when I was chatting with a local realtor about this, she said that wet bars are going out of style and most new construction upper price homes aren't being with them anymore. We are wine drinkers, and wouldn't use the wet bar except for entertaining, so I'm wondering if we should just convert the space to a "dry" bar with a wine fridge and save some money on plumbing and fixtures.
Let your eye for vintage design lead you to ultimate happiness. Just envision a large room with a pools table, darts, a super squishy sofa, a huge screen and a well-appointed retro bar. Perhaps you have an unused attic that calls for attention? An authentic retro home bar having an L-shaped body, 4 V-shaped legs of thin black metal rods and a black moulding top.

I love the idea of being able to fully restore one of these some day but since all I have is the cabinet the possibilities are a little more limitless.
