TPPI helps teens prevent pregnancy, access all forms of birth control, and learn about safe sex. This is a group made up of more than 40 community partners working collaboratively to improve resources for Adolescent Reproductive Health. TPPI aims to reduce teen births in Baltimore City by ensuring that adolescents and young adults have access to 1 Age-appropriate and evidence-based sexual health education and information; 2 Access to effective family planning, youth-friendly and up-to-date clinical services and; 3 Community support to make informed sexual health decisions. ACR Health has been selected to implement a comprehensive program to mitigate teen pregnancy in Syracuse and Onondaga County. Syracuse and Onondaga County have a significant teen pregnancy problem. Teen pregnancy rates per 1, are some of the highest in Upstate New York.
The update reflects the work of the Task Force and community agencies over the past four years and identifies gaps in services and targeted high-need groups to focus future efforts. The Task Force was created in October to address the high rate of teenage pregnancy and births in Northeast Florida and determine effective methods of prevention, particularly around repeat teen births. Task force membership includes Coalition volunteers; representatives from agencies and organizations that serve adolescents; adolescent health care providers; school systems; youth-serving organizations; teens and other interested organizations.
