IPC Media is working on a relaunch of its weekly women's title Woman, which will introduce more fashion and wellbeing content. Woman, a traditional women's weekly that features celebrities such as Katie Price on the cover, and includes real-life stories and diet advice, currently targets "busy mums and housewives, aged between 25 and 45" according to IPC. The publisher is understood to be considering a soft refocus, chanelling more "credible fashion" and women's wellbeing, according to sources.
Asian Woman is a fashion and lifestyle glossy catering to South-Asian women. The magazine was established in June  and first released in Since the magazine has branched out into a more diverse mainstream market with non-Asian cover stars including BBC Strictly Come Dancing star Alesha Dixon  and UK girl group Sugababes  as part of a mission to "bring the beauty and appeal of Asian fashion and culture to a wider audience".

In Samuel Beeton persuaded his wife, Isabella, to join him in a new publishing venture, a monthly paper called The Englishwoman's Domestic Magazine. Initially priced at 2d, this was the first cheap magazine for young middle-class women, and it was an immediate commercial success, with an advertised circulation of 50, copies by Isabella contributed notes on cookery and fashion, but the contents also included a wide range of serial fiction, biographical sketches, gardening and medical tips including some useful advice on birth controland an irresistible correspondence page.
