The value-packed SsangYong Tivoli XLV is now ready to hit the UK roads as the compact SUV goes on sale nation-wide, starting at £18,250. This model comes with an extended body that is 238mm longer behind the C-pillar, giving you a cargo room of 720 cubic liters. It also looks bulkier and tougher than the regular models.
The good thing about SsangYong Tivoli XLV, apart from that fact that it’s only a grand dearer than the ELX variant, is that you can also finance it straight from the company for £198 per month on PCP. Mind you, that base price if for the entry-level 2WD model with a 1.6 liter diesel engine. Pricing for the rest of models in the range is as follows: £19,250 with automatic transmission, £19,500 for the Tivoli XLV 1.6 diesel manual 4×4, and £20,500 for the 4×4 with automatic.
In terms of kit, the Tivoli XLV puts special emphasis on safety, being a family car, and comes with seven airbags including front, side and curtain airbags a driver’s knee airbag, multi-function ESP (Electronic Stability Program), Active Rollover Protection, Brake Assist, Hill Start Assist and ESS (Emergency Stop Signal), a tyre pressure monitoring system and a warning reminder on all five seat belt positions. That’s great, but since the 1.6 litre e-XDi160 diesel engine only has a 115 PS and 300 Nm, you’ll never be going fast enough to crash in the first place!
Other highlights of SsangYong Tivoli XLV equipment-wise include digital-dual zone automatic air conditioning, an infotainment system with RDS radio, 7” high-resolution touch screen, USB/AUX port, iPod & Bluetooth connectivity, Tom-Tom navigation and rear view camera, cruise control, parking sensors front and rear, rain sensing wipers, automatic headlight activation and stylish roof rails.
