Opel GT Concept Headed to Geneva Motor Show

Opel GT Geneva 0 600x399 at Opel GT Concept Headed to Geneva Motor Show

Yes, this is the same Opel GT they unveiled with lots of pomp and circumstance last month. But if you remember they didn’t offer a good look at the car’s interior. Turns out they were saving it for the Geneva Motor Show. So here’s a sneak peek inside the cool cabin of the GT concept.

You know, for a car with absolutely zero production value Opel GT has way too many good features. Everybody agreed when the car was first unveiled that this design deserves a shot at competing in the sports car market, and then there was the rear-drive chassis which, at least on paper, sounded amazing.

The same is true about the interior of Opel GT. The car comes with a button-less cabin operated only via touchpad and voice control, or as Opel calls is their “Human Machine Interface (HMI)”. It’s a self-learning system recognizes the driver’s habits and adapts to his or her needs such as favorite music, temperature and route. It actually speaks to the driver the way, we imagine, a butler would take your order. It even gives you spoken warnings. Pretty cool.

The modern features are complemented with a cool retro design touches such as a retro inspired steering wheel and round instruments which are in fact three-dimentional projection surfaces. The choice of material is also pretty good, from the brushed aluminum of the instrument panel, to the polished GT emblems and the shining red seatbelts which reflect the red tires.
