Giving Chevy’s pickup truck team a breather, General Motors has now asked their GMC department to come up with a special edition truck to balance things out between the sister companies. The 2016 GMC Sierra Elevation Edition is what they’ve come up with, an aesthetically appealing model packed with features.
The main highlights of the GMC Sierra Elevation Edition on the outside include body-color moldings, door handles, mirror caps and a body-color grille surround, as well as body-color bumpers, 20-inch black-painted aluminum wheels. The 2016 Sierra comes with a revised front-end styling which combined with the little touch ups of the Elevation treatment give the truck a very distinctive look.
As for the interior, it is mostly the equipment that make the Elevation Sierra an interesting proposition rather than the design. The truck comes with a 7.0 inch IntelliLink display with CarPlay and Android Auto phone integration, OnStar 4G LTE and a built-in Wi-Fi hotspot, emote keyless entry, remote locking tailgate, outside heated power-adjustable mirrors, a 110-volt AC power outlet, black recovery hooks, a six-speaker audio system, and…
Engine-wise, GMC Sierra Elevation Edition, which is based on the double cab, can be had with either a 4.3L EcoTec3 V-6 engine with 285 horsepower and 305 lb-ft of torque, or a 5.3L EcoTec3 V-8 packing 355 horsepower.
